Delete your irlmap.live data
This covers the irlmap.live website and the irlmap.live app for Android and iPhone (developer: inctor). Both use the same account.
How to ask for deletion
- Email irlmap@inctor.dk with the subject “Delete my irlmap.live data”.
- Include your Twitch username, the one you log in with. That’s how your account is found.
- Confirm it’s you. To make sure nobody else can delete your account, you may be asked to confirm you own that Twitch account, for example with a short message from it.
- That’s it. Your account and everything listed below is deleted within 30 days (usually within a few days), and you get a reply when it’s done.
Deleting is permanent. If you want to keep your routes, download them as GPX or KML from your dashboard first.
What gets deleted
- Your account: Twitch user ID, login name, display name and profile picture link.
- All your locations and routes, from every stream.
- Your settings: dead zones, overlays, destination, stream delay, units and your keys and links (ingest, overlay and chat command links stop working).
- Phones paired with the irlmap.live app and all login sessions. The app on your phone is signed out the next time it connects.
What’s kept
- Nothing tied to your account stays in the irlmap.live database.
- Server logs only record errors and start-ups, not your locations or account, so there’s nothing of yours to delete there.
- Anonymous visit statistics (Google Analytics, only if you accepted cookies) aren’t linked to your account. Google keeps them under its own retention period.
- Twitch isn’t told anything. irlmap.live keeps no Twitch token, but you can also remove irlmap.live under Settings → Connections on Twitch.
Things you can do yourself right now
- Delete single streams: Dashboard → Routes, then delete. Their locations are deleted straight away.
- Stop showing up publicly: turn off the public map in Settings, or pause your location.
- Disconnect a phone: tap “Unpair this phone” in the app, or remove it under Settings → irlmap.live app. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on the phone.
